Art & Design Libraries in Oslo
These are my favorite art- and design libraries in Oslo:
AHO
The Oslo School of Architecture and Design Library
Maridalsveien 29
A library packed with great architecture books, and books on many other topics like urban planning and design. There are also some art history books. Home loan is for students and faculty at AHO only, but there are many great places to sit and browse here. The reading tables are equipped with Artemide Tolomeo lamps and light blue padded series 7 Arne Jacobsen chairs. There are plenty of windows and green plants.

Oslo National Academy of the Arts Library
Fossveien 24
The KHiO library has an amazing collection of art- and design books. The interior design shelf, is the largest I've seen in any Oslo library. I enjoy browsing these volumes over and over again. Like the library at AHO, home loan is only for students and faculty. There are many comfortable sofas, and the reading tables feature FLOS Tab T table lamps.
The National Museum Library

A library with an excellent selection of beautiful and rare art-, architecture- and design books. I love coming here! There are so many great books to choose from. Home loan is for employees of the National Museum only, but there are color copy machines and scanners available for all to use. This library is such a hidden gem, and a great resource for anyone who is interested in art and design.
